PENDLETON — Arnetta Lou Ann (Davis) Cornell, 55, of Pendleton, passed away Feb. 2, 2010, at her residence after a six-month courageous battle with cancer.

She was born April 14, 1954, in Anderson, the daughter of Kenneth and Bonnie (Garrison) Davis. Arnetta resided in

Pendleton for most of her life. She was a 1972 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School.

She was employed at Roche Diagnostics as a quality systems specialist.

Arnetta's family was her passion. She loved going to garage sales on the weekend with her husband and also enjoyed spending time with her daughters, and her sister and brother. She could often be found at the grandkids' activities or just hanging out with them on the weekends. She loved to vacation in Florida; two of the places that made her happiest were Fort Myers Beach and Walt Disney World.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Patrick Cornell; her daughters, Courtney (Robinson) Porter (Robert), and Chelsea Cornell, all of Pendleton; sister, Sally Lutes of Indianapolis; brother, Ken Davis (Julie) of Westerville, Ohio. She is also survived by her cousin, Butch Zehrung of Anderson; four grandchildren, Aaron, Ashleigh, Jacob, and Megan Porter; and her lifelong best friend, Melinda "Alf" Mitchell of Yorktown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth (1972) and Bonnie (1996) Davis.Graveside services with burial following will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton, with the Revs. Charles and Janet Lilly Wanner officiating, with a Celebration of Life Dinner afterwards at Madison Park Church of God, Anderson.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1216 Meridian St., Anderson, IN 46016.
