Daniel C. Plastridge, 94, died on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 in his residence after a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of nearly sixty years, Eleanor (Petterson) Plastridge who died in 1999. He is survived by two sons, Joel F. Plastridge of Newburyport; and Peter D. Plastridge and wife Esther of Orange Park, FL; a daughter, Jocelyn Goldman of East Haddam, CT; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister Nathalie Gardner.

Daniel was born in Bedford to the late Archibald C. and Beatrice (Fletcher) Plastridge and attended local schools. He achieved both Bachelor and Masters degrees from the University of Massachusetts, and began a successful career in sales for the Beacon Feeds Company of Cayuga, New York, from where he ultimately retired after thirty years. Throughout his retirement, Mr. Plastridge proudly served the town of Berlin as town Tax Collector. He was a proud member of the Thomas Talbot Masonic Lodge of Billerica and served as a Knight Templar of the Scottish Rite. He was a member of the Ford Model A Club and an avid sportsman who enjoyed sailing and skiing well into his nineties.
