Phillip A. Wright, 57, of Court Street, Cayuga, passed away Monday, Oct. 12, 2009 at University Hospital. Born in Auburn, he was the son of Theodore G. and Bernice Quackenbush Wright Jr. He was an Army veteran who proudly served his county in the Vietnam War. He was currently employed with the NYS Thruway as a toll attendant and was previously employed with Cross Roads Tavern in Liverpool. He was a member of Cayuga United Methodist Church. Phillip was an avid fan of both SU basketball and the N.Y. Yankees and enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia of any kind. He is survived by his wife, Kim Wright, and by his daughter, Heather Marie Wright, both of Cayuga; his mother, Bernice Wright, of Cayuga; two brothers, Ron (Jeannie) Wright, of Herndon, Va., James W. (Carol) Wright, of Watertown; and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Theodore in 1989.
