David C. Caddis died at his home on Monday, March 26, 2012, after battling cancer with dignity and fortitude.
He will be remembered by his family and friends for his passion for life, generosity, humor and compassion.
He was a German language professor at Auburn Community College and SUNY at Oneonta. A gifted pianist David was a founding member and former president of Friends of Music in Stamford, NY
He is survived by his beloved wife, Bette: son, David (Michelle) Caddis: daughter, Janie (Bruce) Russell; grandchildren, Michael (Robin) Hampel, Noah (Maria) Caddis, Christopher (Katie) Hampel, Nicole Hampel, Jameson Russell, and Cindy Russell; and a great-grandson, Robert London. He also is survived by siblings, Jennie Wittmaak, Kathleen Newhouse, A. James Caddis, Donald Caddis and Frances Davis.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date
