Age 64, of Popponesset Beach, Mashpee, formerly of Andover passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family after a 17 year battle with Breast Cancer on July 23, 2013. She won many battles along the way. She was a strong, and brave survivor who fought a tough fight till the very end. She was the beloved wife of Peter M. Alberico. Daughter of the late Gertrude (Gillis) and Joseph G. Reusch Sr. Gertrude graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Hingham, MA. She attended Boston State College for her undergrad and ultimately graduated from Boston College with her masters in teaching. She pursued her career and her passion as a special education teacher. Being a Special Ed. Teacher was always in her heart. She especially loved spending summers, in the early years of her career, as a teacher and counselor at the Boston Harbor Island summer camp special ed. programs. During her career she became an assistant principal and a principal in North Andover School systems. She was also an avid golfer and was a member of the New Seabury Womans Golf Association. She also loved spending time at the Popponesset Beach and digging her toes in the sand. She was a loving wife, mother, and sister and friend and will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her. She is predeceased by her brother Joseph G. Reusch Jr.
