Daughter of Ray and Alma Myers, first wife of Parker Brauer, mother of Jason Brauer.

Kathy had discovered a lump on her breast at the age of 23. At the time, her doctor said she was the youngest patient he had ever had with breast cancer. She went through chemotherapy and radiation, was in and out of hospitals in both Rockford and the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and for a short time, she was in remission. To know Kathy was to love her. She had the biggest heart, the biggest smile, and loved to laugh. She was truly a genuine and authentic person and a GIFT to anyone who knew her.
