A soldier in the American Revolution. He was a man of large enterprise. He, in connection with his father-in-law, John Plum, of New Brunswick, engaged in the manufacture of iron at Hacklebarney.

Died On the 5th inst., at his residence near New Germantown, Andrew Bartles, Esq., in the 76th year of his age. The deceased was, during his long life, a warm supporter of the interests of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, of which he was a member, and died in a firm belief.
