Irene B. Dyer, 93, died Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Good Samaritan Health Care Center in Alliance.
She was born July 7, 1915 at the family homestead west of Alliance to Niels Gadegaard and Ane Marie (Hansen) Nielsen.
On July 1, 1940 she was united in marriage to Clifford Francis Dyer at her parent's home west of Alliance.
Irene was a resident of Hemingford until moving to Good Samaritan in 2000. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and before retiring she worked for the Nebraska Certified Potatoes, Hemingford Public Schools and Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, gardening and fishing.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Reverend Martin T. Schnare officiating. Burial will be in the Hemingford Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Alliance.
Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Good Samaritan Health Care Center or Prairie Haven Hospice.
