David Lee Cremer age 56, of West Frankfort passed away, Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 1:45 A.M. at his residence. He was born December 4, 1951 in Christopher, Illinois to William and Muriel (Moore) Cremer. He married Geneva (Alexander) Cremer and she survives of West Frankfort; Other survivors include two daughters, Paula Osteen and huband Eric of Thompsonville and Jamie Haskins and husband Derek of Benton; four grandchildren, Cheynne, Brehan, Autum and Tristen; mother, Muriel Cremer of West Frankfort; five sisters Janice Johnston, Beth and husband Scott Biggs, Carla and husband Gene Pulliam, Sally and husband John Odle and Mary Mell all of West Frankfort, one brother Richard and wife Kathy Cremer of West Frankfort, one half-sister, Linda Songer and husband Dan of Paducah, KY. He was preceded in death by his father William. David is of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam from 1969 to 1971 and earned the Bronze Star. David was a L.P.N. at the V.A. Medical Center in Marion for many years. Funeral services will be Sunday, May 31, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort with Rev. Dave Netherton officiating. Burial with military rites by the American Legion of Orient Zeigler and the VFW of West Frankfort will be in the Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made at the funeral home to Hospice of Southern Illinois and accepted at the funreal home.
