His death certificate states he was born October 2, 1856, died Sept 19 1943 of Cerebral Embolism due to Arteriosclerosis in Lancaster Hospital. H M Mellinger was the funeral director.
He died in 1943 and was 85 years old which means he was born in 1857, his birth records show he is born in 1857, but since his headstone incorrectly shows 1851, some people seem to think we should record that date...
