"Kate" was the daughter of Jacob Goshert and Elizabeth Root
and Wife of Henry W Ditzler.

Wednesday, February 27, 2002:

"Died:
Mrs. Catherine Ditzler, of Schoeneck:
Mrs. Catherine Ditzler (nee Goshert), widow of Henry W Ditzler, of Schoeneck, died last Friday morning at 1 o'clock of heart failure at Lancaster General Hospital, aged 74 years, 10 months and 27 days.
She was a member of the United Brethren Church. Her husband died six years ago. Mrs Ditzler was a daughter of the late Jacob and Elizabeth (nee Root) Goshert and was the last of a family of sixteen.
These children survive: Ella, wife of Henry Kramer, Ephrata; Lillie, wife of Martin Stuber, Schoeneck; Lizzie, wife of Monroe Strickler of Denver. Six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren also survive.
The funeral was held on Tuesday morning with services from her home and at Mellingers Church near Schoeneck. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining. Funeral Director H M Mellinger had charge."
