Ralph D. Strickler, 78, who once owned a television repair service in Ephrata, died Saturday at Ephrata Community Hospital following a four-week illness. He formerly resided at 488 Arrowhead Drive in Ephrata.
Strickler was the husband of the late Kathryn Kachel Strickler,. Born in Schoeneck, he was a son of the late Monroe and Lizzie Ditzler Strickler.
After retiring from the television repair business in 1950, he was employed at the Weave Corp., Denver.
He was a member of Ephrata Elks Club Nest No. 1933, Amvets Post 136 and was a former member of the Ephrata Lions Club.
Strickler is survived by a daughter, Sharon K., wife of Robert I. Brugger, Stevens R1, with whom he resided, five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Pauline, wife of Clair Brooks, Lancaster.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Ave., with the Rev. Larry R. Mark officiating.
Interment followed in Mount Zion Cemetery, Ephrata."
