Mrs. Alverta E. Spade, 58, of 118 E. New St., rear, Lititz, died Sunday at the Lancaster General Hospital where she had been a patient for the past week.
Born in Lancaster Junction, Penn Township, she was the daughter of Henry M. Steely, Elizabethtown, and the late Minnie Carvell Steely, who died this year. Her husband, Samuel B. Spade, died in 1961. She lived in Lititz most of her life and worked 15 years for the A. J. Bedford Shoe Co.
She is survived by two children, Donald B., Manheim, and Donna, wife of Robert G. Eberly, Lititz R2, six grandchildren and two sisters, Florence, wife of Samuel Kulp, Lititz R1 and Anna Mae Steely, Lititz.
Services were held Wednesday at the Beck Funeral Home, Lititz, with the Rev. James E. Stough officiating. Burial was in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Brickerville.
