He was an Administrator in Penn Manor School District. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Lancaster, and was a graduate of Cocalico High School in 1957 and Millersville University in 1961.
In addition to his parents he is survived by 5 children; Jill Hirneisen of Phoenix, AZ, Diane (John) Whited of Saratoga Springs, UT, Thomas of Lancaster, Brenda (Steven) Whited of Orem, UT, and Kara Vance of Ephrata; 11 grandchildren, and sisters: Lorraine (David) Eberly and Janet Hirneisen of Ephrata. He was predeceased by a daughter Julia Hirneisen.
The Funeral service will be on Wednesday at 1:00 PM at the Roseboro Funeral Home, 533 Walnut St., Denver, PA, with a Viewing from 12-1:00 PM. Interment in Mellinger's Cemetery, Schoeneck, PA. www.roseborofuneralhome.com"
