Born: December 3, 1943 at Coleman, OK to John William and Opal Lee (Speaks) Horath.
Passed away: Tuesday, September 25, 2001 at her mother's residence in Atoka, OK.
Age: 57 years 8 months and 22 days.
Education: Wanda graduated from Coleman High School at the age of 16 in 1959. She attended 2 years at Murray State College in Tishomingo, 2 years at Southeastern OK State University in Durant, receiving her B.A. in Business and Elementery Education.
Married: Melvin Franklin Perkins on September 23, 1961 at Emit, OK.
Occupation: Wanda taught school at Bentley, Centerpoint and Farris. She retired in 1997 after 32 years of teaching.
Church affiliation: Baptist faith.
Wanda was a member of the OK Public Employees Association, OK Public Employees Retirement Association, OK Teachers Association and was very active in community service.
Survived by: Husband: Melvin Perkins of the home in Antlers, OK.
