Vic Casey Dead.
Vic Casey, the young man who has been lying very sick at the county poor house the last few weeks, died yesterday afternoon about 2 o’clock. His ailment was an abcess on the liver. The funeral will take place this afternoon from the residence of his brother-in-law, Mr. Thos. Kelly, twelve miles southeast.
Casey was only sixteen years of age and has been in jail here some months awaiting his trial for the killing of Constable Farris, at Yukon. His brother, Jim Casey, aged about 18, was also implicated in it, and is now in jail pending trial. It is said Vic is the one who did all the shooting; Jim being in the custody of the officer when the killing occurred. If this is shown to be the fact, it is probable Jim will get off comparatively easy. – Oklahoman
