~~*~~Mildred Mary Linnecar was born to the Rev Wm Cartwright Allen and his wife Mary Linnecar.
~~She is the sister to Thomas William Edward Allen who died in France in 1917 a member of Princess Patricia's Infantry.
~~She married Louis Henry Winslow.

Mildred Linnecar Allen was a church organist at St. Thomas Anglican in Millbrook for many years and gave piano lessons in her home as well. She was known as Grannie to Don, Phil and I - used to host dinner parties at Christmas and make a famous bread sauce. She suffered from cataracts and what we now know was probably euveitis - may have had some depression in later years as she used to tearfully report that her nerves were bad.
