Mr. Biancarelli was born March 4, 1928 at South Radley, the son of Louis and Manta Ascani Biancarelli. Richard was a retired coal miner and farmer who lived in South Radley all his life. Richard attended Radley Grade School. He also attended Girard and Frontenac High School. He farmed, worked for Freeto Construction, owned Biancarelli Trucking, worked for P&M Coal Company, and later was a supervisor for Bill's Coal Company and Quality Coal Company. He also was a pilot in the Civil Air Patrol. He married Lucille McPheron on July 20, 1946 at Arma. Mrs. Biancarelli survives at the home. He was a member of the United Mine Workers, a 32nd Degree Mason at Pittsburg, and a 50-year member of the Fort Scott Scottish Rite. Additional survivors include a son, Kenneth Biancarelli and his wife Carol of South Radley, a daughter, Judy Freeman and her husband Jack of Pittsburg, a sister, Theresa Renn and her husband John of Pittsburg, a step-sister, Barbara Carroll-Kirkland and her husband Jack of Gladstone, Missouri, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Louis Biancarelli, a step-brother, Vincent Sitter Jr., and a step-sister, Marie Meserko.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Bedene Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Wenzelburger officiating. Burial will be at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bedene Chapel in Arma where friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday.
