A native of Salem, Massachusetts, Alfred Morin's family moved to Saint-Louis-du-Ha! Ha! in 1913. Entering seminary in Rimouski, he was ordained priest there on May 29, 1926.

Curé de Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc (1942-1950), he successively served as assistant priest at Sainte-Félicité (1950 - 1951), Sayabec (1951 - 1952), and Saint-Alexis (1952 - 1953). Almoner of the Maison de la Providence of Matane pfior four months in 1953, he served the same position at the Hôpital de Notre-Dame-du-Lac (1953 - 1957), at the Maison Mère des Soeurs de Notre-Dame du Saint-Rosaire (1957 - 1960), the Hôpital Saint-Joseph of Rimouski (1960 - 1966), and the Maison de la Providence of (1966-1969).
Retiring to Cacouna on September 6, 1969, the following year he moved to the Foyer Beauséjour of Saint-Louis-du-Ha! Ha, where he passed away on February 3, 1973. His funeral Mass was held at the local parish church on February 7, followed by interment in the parish cemetery.
