Almoner of the Maison de la Providence of Matane pfior four months in 1953, he served the same position at the Hôpital de Notre-Dame-du-Lac (1953 - 1957), at the Maison Mère des Soeurs de Notre-Dame du Saint-Rosaire (1957 - 1960), the Hôpital Saint-Joseph of Rimouski (1960 - 1966), and the Maison de la Providence of (1966-1969).
Retiring to Cacouna on September 6, 1969, the following year he moved to the Foyer Beauséjour of Saint-Louis-du-Ha! Ha, where he passed away on February 3, 1973. His funeral Mass was held at the local parish church on February 7, followed by interment in the parish cemetery.
