Born in Saint-Grégoire-de-Nicolet, l'Abbé François-Xavier Octave Hébert was ordained priest in Québec on January 30, 1845. Succeeding his brother, l'Abbé Nicolas Tolentin Hébert, as vicar of Saint-Pascal of Kamouraska, he was named curate of Saint-Arsène of Rivière-du-Loup in 1857. Passing away while visiting his brother, he was laid to rest in the church of Saint-Louis in Kamouraska of which Father Nicolas Tolentin was parish priest. His heart however, was buried in the church of Saint-Arsène.
