Ecclesiastical Superior of the Mission Sui Iuris of Funafuti from 1986 until 2010, Father Camille DesRosiers SM., was born in Grand-Métis, Quebec, Canada, to Joseph-Ernest Desrosiers and Rosalie Fortin. Entering the Society of Mary, he professed his vows on September 8, 1950 and was ordained priest on June 4, 1955. He died at the Hôpital Saint-François d'Assise aged 87, after 65 years of religious life and 60 of priesthood.
