Vernell was preceded in death by her husband Claude Davis; parents, Noah and Lillie Lance Satterfield; sons, Grady, David and Bazel Davis; sisters, Annree, Mattie Lee, Bertie Mae Saterfield, Lela Belle Short (Tootsie), Blondean Cagle, and Betty Ann Wilson.
Funeral services were held September 26, 2011, at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega. Rev Lyman Caldwell officiated.
Interment followed in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetary. Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of the arrangements.
