Mrs. Bertha Mae Chambers, age 73, of Murrayville, died Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.
Mrs. Chambers was a Union County native who had lived in Murrayville for the past 50 years.
She was a retired poultry worker and was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church in Union County.
She was the daughter of the late Grady and Lizzie (Garrett) Grizzle and was also preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Sue Grizzle; and brothers, Marvin, Calvin and John Robert Grizzle.
Funeral services for Mrs. Chambers were held Monday, October 1, 2012, at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega. Rev. Marty Murphy and Rev. Brent Gilstrap officated.
Interment followed in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Union County.
