Chloe Elizabeth Bell, the daughter of George and Mabel (Wheeler) Davis, was born October 20, 1897, at Ionia, Kansas, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 29, 1994, at the age of 96 years, 3 months, and 9 days.

She grew up and attended school in Ionia, and on December 22, 1915, she was united in marriage to Frank Bell, at Ionia, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1954. After their marriage they lived on a farm in Kansas, and in 1925, they moved to a farm near Giltner, Nebraska. They farmed in the Giltner area, and she lived in the same house until 1989, when she entered the Hamilton Manor in Aurora, where she has since resided.

Chloe was a member of the Giltner United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Homer, 2 sisters, and 3 grandchildren.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 3 sons, Don, Clarence, and Glenn "Snook" Bell, all of Giltner; one daughter Edna Ruth Marler of Otis, Louisiana; 19 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren, and cousins.
