DUNCANNON - Norma E. Ruegg, 77, of 33 Faculty Road, Duncannon, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Cumberland Crossings Community, Carlisle.
Born October 9, 1931 in Wellsboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Ida Maynard.
Mrs. Ruegg was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. She was a graduate of Mansfield University and a retired elementary school teacher in the Susquenita School District. She enjoyed needle-point, crocheting, sewing and was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are her husband, Herbert "Bert" Ruegg; a son, Gary T. and wife, Susan of Fisher, Indiana; two daughters, Brenda A. Roland and husband, Charles N., of Bel Air, MD and Susan Otto and husband, Robert F. Jr. of Carlisle, PA; three brothers, Harold Maynard of NY, LaRue Maynard of VA and Richard Maynard of TN; a sister, Betty Ludlam of NY and 9 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 in Asbury United Methodist Church, 27 N. High Street, Duncannon, PA. Pastor Rudy will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
