Minnie and her parents traveled from Bremen, Germany to the United States arriving 10 May 1870 in New York aboard the ship Gauss. She married Christian Aeschliman, whose first wife had died. He had two sons, Amos and Simon, by his first wife. She and Christian had six children, Dennis (1890-1966), Albert (1892-1964), Anna Belle (1894-1981) who married Dale J. Blair, Ezra (1897-1984), Amanda (1901-1902) and Irvin (1904-1972).
