Though this death entry gives the father's name as James,
it is given in the lists of the families by Edward Thorpe King as
Jacob, the son of George and Catherine Barb Wolfe,
and grandson of George's father Jacob.
(Jacobus is the Latin for the name James).
Catherine Barb was the daughter of Isaac Barb and Elizabeth Caulfelt or Coffelt.

The children of this Jacob (George - Jacob) who married Rachel Briggs,
estimated marriage date 1808; in some compilations "Left-handed Jake" -
were listed by Mr. King in The Genealogy of Some Early Families in Grant and Pleasant Districts, Preston County, W. V.; as:
Jacob C.,#99307689 who married first Lucinda Frankhouser.
This Jacob would be Henry's brother, who has a Find a Grave memorial, # 99307689 . Jacob C. was interred with his second wife in a different cemetery than Lucinda.
Anthony, who married a Budd.
Mary Anne, who married James Martin.
Sarah, who married a Leadbeter/Ledbeator (? perhaps Ledbetter?).
David, who died single.
George, went West.
John, went West.
Martin, went West.
Henry, who married Julia Matlick.*
Joseph, who married Malinda.

The siblings of Jacob, or James Jacob if that be the case, who were all listed as being younger and Jacob being the eldest, were as follows:
{Jacob , born 1782 (m. Rachel Briggs)}*
Daniel, #41194406, 1794-1873, (m. Anne House & Dorcas Friend)
Christina, 1795-1880 (m. Jacob Guseman, he died in 1878 in Preston county)
Henry, went west in 1835.
Anthony, #64201576, 1799-1843 (m. Mary Matlick, dau of Joseph S.)
Martin, # 76733030, (m. Elizabeth Sine)*
Sarah, (m. Emanuel Harned)
Susan, (m. Jacob Feather [JACOB] 1796-1864)
Abigail, (m. John Sine)

* indicates lines that descend to our family.
The Preston county histories give varying dates and relationships for these families.
Histories done online giving the dates for Henry as 1812-1841 obviously cannot be correct giving the fact he was included in the census later than that.
It is noted in some that Jacob died near a place called Piney Knob, but that might be confusion with Jacob who married Christina Whetzel (Mountain Jake-his uncle if these genealogies are correct). It would seem that his grandfather Jacob had more than one wife, and his father at least two.
The graves of the Jacobs are not known and they might all lie in unmarked graves.
