Born October 22, 1941 in Watsontown, he was the son of the late William and Jean (Derr) Huff. He was married to Lois J. (Walker) Huff until her death October 11, 1997.
A 1960 graduate of Warrior Run High School, he served with the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Elmer retired from Shop Vac, Williamsport in 2003, and earlier in life had been employed at West Company.
He was a Little League coach in Watsontown for many years and looked forward to teaching his grandson to play ball.
He enjoyed hunting, western movies, flower gardening and playing checkers. He was an avid fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team and Oakland Raiders football team.
Surviving are three sons and a daughter: Devlon L. Huff and his wife Valorie in Germany; Timothy W. Huff, Watsontown; Scott Huff and his wife Diann, Hermitage; and Natalie Krasnick, Watsontown, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death besides his wife and parents were three brothers: William Moore, Robert Moore, and Dane Huff; and two sisters: Sharon Keit and Peggy Boop.
Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
