Stanley E. Reitmeyer, 65, of Chippewa Lane, Muncy, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009 at Muncy Valley Hospital. Born in Williamsport on August 1, 1943, he was a son of the late Joseph and Meda (Williams) Reitmeyer. He and his wife of 37 years, the former Marjorie A. Clark, were married Nov. 5, 1971. Following graduation from Watsontown High School in 1961, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam era. Stan worked as a foreman for Joyce Western Corp., a pipeline construction firm in Andover, N.Y. In 1983, he accepted a position as supervisor with P.G. Energy. When he retired, he held a position as Manager of the Southern Division. More recently, he was employed by Franchelli Pipeline as a supervisor. A gun enthusiast, he was a member of the N.R.A., the Sulphyr Springs Rifle & Revolver Club, Muncy, and the International Benchrest Shooters. In addition, he was a member of the Glenn Sharrow Post #35 American Legion, Hughesville, the Highland Lake 40/8 Club and the Muncy Valley Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #866. Stan was a member of the United Methodist faith and was currently attending Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are one son and daughter-in-law, Andrew M. and Stephanie Reitmeyer of Muncy; three daughters; one brother, Joseph Reitmeyer; and two grandchildren. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, at Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church, 658 Village Road, Pennsdale, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Rob Ransom. Burial will be held privately in Allenwood. The family will provide the flowers and prefers memorial contributions be made to either Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church, 658 Village Road, Pennsdale, PA 17756, or to Muncy Valley Hospital, 215 E. Water St., Muncy, PA 17756. Arrangements are under the direction of Grenoble's, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
