Meriden, Conn., April 6.—Mrs. Julia Copperthite, the oldest resident of this city, died this afternoon at the age of a hundred and four years, from injuries sustained in a fall last week. She was born in England and came to Meriden 87 years ago.

Came To This City Eighty-Seven Years Ago—Born In England

Mrs. Julia Copperthite, 140 Hanover street, the oldest resident of Meriden, died yesterday afternoon at her home of injuries resulting from a fall sustained about a week ago. She celebrated her birthday on March 14, when she was 103 years old.
She was born in England and came to Meriden eighty-seven years ago. Her first husband was Daniel Robinson, a carpenter, and her second husband, Daniel Copperthite. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. George O. Higby and Mrs. Wilbur Skinner, both of this city, and a son, Daniel Robinson, of Springfield, Mass. She was the oldest member of the First Congregational church.
The funeral will be held at her home tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. Albert J. Lord officiating. The deceased requested that friends omit flowers. Burial will be in East cemetery.
