Educator, author, lecturer. Mayor of New Britain, CT, for two years. Connecticut State legislator from New Britain. One of the organizers of the National Council of Education. Bank president and director of several corporations. Son of Elah and Orit Lee Camp, and a direct descendant of Theophilus Eaton, the first governor of New Haven Colony. He married Sarah Adaline Howd on June 25, 1844. They had two daughters.
