Joseph Oberman, 58, of Peoria, formerly a resident of this city, died yesterday, at his home. He had been in ill health the last few years. Mr. Oberman was engaged in the mercantile business in Springfield for a number of years. He left this city to enter business in Peoria in 1933. He came to Springfield in 1885 with his parents, the late Aaron and Sarah Oberman. Surviving are his wife, Rae; daughter Rona Mae Oberman; sister Mrs. Arthur Simon, South Bend, Ind. Remains were brought to the Bisch Memorial home where funeral services will be held and interment will be in Oak Ridge cemetery.
