Died from a self-inflicted gun shot wound at the Springfield Drain Tile Works. He was a watchman at the Maurer ice plant. He was single and about 45 years old. He lived alone. He was said to save a considerable sum of money and then change it all into gold. No money was found on him when he was found. He had no relatives in this vicinity. He had been missing from work since Feb. 1st and was found Feb. 3rd.
