Obituary of Chas. Bebee

Chas. Bebee was born in Jefferson county, N.Y., on June 27th, 1836. When eight years of age, he moved with his parents to the state of Ill., and settled on a farm near Sycamore, where he grew to manhood.

In 1860 he was united in marriage to Hannah J. Johnson and of this union was born one daughter, Lillie, who died at the age of fifteen.

In 1862 he enlisted in Company C., 105th Illinois Volunteer Infantry, where he served faithfully as a soldier until the close of the war.

In the spring of 1868, he moved with his family to Jones county, Iowa, where he resided until the spring of 1901, at which time he moved to Central City, where he has since lived and where after five years of suffering he passed away on April 7th, 1910, aged 73 years, 9 months, 18 days.

He leaves a wife, an adopted daughter, (Maud) Mrs. Earl Whiting of Central City, two grandsons, Charlie and Elmer, two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Scott and Mrs. Louise Rowley, both of Illinois, and other relatives and friends to mourn his loss.

Thus ends the life of a faithful soldier, a kind husband and a loving father.

CARD OF THANKS
To the neighbors and friends, and others who so kindly tendered their aid and sympathies during the long illness of my husband, Charles Bebee, and since the funeral, I wish to extend my heartfelt thanks.
