J. I. Carter Passes at Home near Lumberton
Mr. J. I. Carter died Saturday night at his home on R. 3 from Lumberton of paralysis. Deceased suffered a stroke of paralysis several weeks ago and his condition had been critical since that time. His second wife and several children survive. The funeral was conducted from the home yesterday at 2 p.m. by Rev. E. A. Paul and interment was made in the Rice cemetery, near Long Branch church. Mr. Carter was a member of the Baptist church and a good citizen.
