Julia C. Stabley, 94, of 326 Hill St., Jersey Shore, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2007 in the Jersey Shore Hospital Emergency Room. Born Jan. 20, 1913 in Carroll, she was the daughter of James Embick and the former Mary Rhine. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence T. Stabley on May 24, 1968. They were united in marriage Feb. 18, 1929. Earlier in her life, she was employed by Cobblers in Jersey Shore.
Julia is survived by two sons, Lynn M. (Barbara) Stabley of Newark, Del., and Clarence R. Stabley of Jersey Shore; a daughter, Doris D. Stabley of Jersey Shore; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. The Rev. George Grossman will officiate.
