Gerald Keith Snyder was born November 8, 1903, on a farm near Circleville, Jackson Co., Kansas.
At an early age he became a member of the Pea Ridge Church later transferring his membership to the Circleville Methodist Church.

He received his education at Ontario Grade and Circleville High School.

Mr. Snyder was a resident of the Circleville community his entire life. Having been born and reared on the farm, he continued as a farmer and stockman for his life's work.

Gerald and Ethel Snyder to this union were blessed with four daughters. He was deeply devoted and whose welfare was his greatest concerns.

Gerald lost his life from burns received when his barn burned on his farm. He was attempting to save equipment stored in the barn when his clothes caught on fire. He was taken from the hospital in Holton and transferred to the University of Kansas Medical Center.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ethel Snyder of the home and his four daughters, Virginia, Shirley, Maxine and Lana.
