Major Roy Carlton Adams, U.S. Army (Ret.), 61, of 328 Green Springs Dr., will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church with burial in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery with military rites. Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Disease Research, American Heart Association or to St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Visitation will be Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Sgt. Adams died Thursday, April 18, 1996. Born in Ideal, Ga., he was the son of the late Ezikal Boss (sic) and Gussie Schrimshire Adams. A 26-year Army veteran of Korea and Vietnam, he retired from the Army and from Civil Service at Fort Jackson. He was a member of the D. A. V. Surviving are his wife, Brigitte Kaiser Adams of Columbia, son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Gay Adams of Columbia, a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Russell Nance of Columbia; sisters, Doris Hood of Newnan, Ga., Frances Gunnells of Phoenix City, Ala. and Erma Meadows of Dadeville, Ala.; grandchildren, Brad Adams and Morgan Nance of Columbia, and nieces and nephews.
