OASIS, Millard County, Jan, 23 - Mrs. Emma Marie Anderson Day, 58, prominent businesswoman of Oasis and resident here for 56 years, died at her home in Oasis Friday at 9:15 p.m. following a lengthy illness.

Born March 8, 1889, at Provo a daughter of Nels and Trina Marie Madsen Anderson, she moved with her parents to Oasis at the age of two, and had lived there since.

She was married to Oda J. Day June 2, 1909, in the Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They operated a mercantile business. Which, after Mr Day's death in 1926, Mrs. Day managed until the last few years, with the assistance of her sons.

In addition to the Red Cross and other civic projects, Mrs. Day was active in the LDS Relief Society, Mutual Improvement Asso. and Primary Organization.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edna Ide, Price; three sons, Lee D. and Donald Day, Oasis, and Gilbert E. Day, Delta; six grandchildren; a brother Peter M. Anderson, Oasis, and two sisters, Mrs. Christine Amtoft, Provo, and Mrs. Minnie Nuzman, Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Oasis LDS ward chapel by Peter H. Peterson, bishop. Burial will be in the Oasis cemetery under direction of L. N. Nickle & Sons Mortuary.

Friends may call at the family home Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
