Death Claims L. P. Amtoft

Funeral services for Lars Peter Amtoft, 66, resident of Provo for nearly 30 years, will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Bonneville ward chapel with Bishop Andrew Jensen in charge. may call at the home, 57 South Fifth East street, prior to the services. Interment will be in the Provo Burial park under the direction of the Deseret Mortuary.

Mr. Amtoft died at the home in Provo Saturday morning from an illness since the first of the year involving complications following an attack of the "flu."

He was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, May 30, 1870, and came with his parents to Utah 58 years ago, settling in Pleasant Grove. Later he lived in Gunnison, and 28 years ago, came to Provo.

He was active in Church affairs, serving formerly as president of the Elders' quorum and at the time of his death as a member of the Utah Stake High Priest's Quorum.

He married Christine Anderson, Oct. 9, 1900, in the Salt Lake temple.

Surviving are his widow, and the following children: Warlock Amtoft, Tooele; Arnold Amtoft, Axtell, Utah; Leo Amtoft, Berkeley, Calif.; Mrs. Edith Spalding, Vineyard; Mrs. Zora M. Eves, Oakland, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, and a brother, John Amtoft at Mayfield, Utah,
