An underage military veteran, Walt served almost 44 years, retiring at the rank of Colonel. Walt loved God, his family, and our country. A world traveler and active mentor, Walt will be remembered for his civic involvement, compassionate service to people in need, and generous support of missions and veterans.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Starr (Clyburn) Cassady; 5 children and their spouses; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandsons; and 5 sisters.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Friday, July 11; service 10 am, Saturday, Jul 12, at Floral Haven Chapel, Broken Arrow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hope Harbor Children's Home in Claremore, OK or to Blue Star Mothers, Broken Arrow Chap. 5.
