Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Kiker-Warren Funeral Chapel for R.N. Beatty, 86, who died at 10 a.m. Wednesday at his home at 1633 Clinton St. after an illness of two years.
O.B. Proctor, minister of the North Park Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Warren Funeral Home.
Mr. Beatty was born Aug. 31, 1868 in Wayne County, Missouri and moved to Abilene from Missouri in 1893. He moved to Crowell in 1900 where he lived until 1945, when he returned to Abilene. He was a retired cattleman and farmer.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, R.N. Beatty Jr. of Paducah, Charlie Beatty of Carlsbad, N.M.; two daughters, Mrs. C.B. Wilburn of Abilene, Miss Lillie Faye Beatty of the home; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
