Services for Melvin Logsdon are set for 10 am Wednesday at Broken Arrow Assembly. The Rev. James Stone Jr., Junior Replogle and Pastor Michael Goldsmith will officiate. Burial will follow at Park Grove Cemetery under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home.

Logsdon died Sunday, July 24, 2005 at the Mayfair in Tulsa. He was 88. Logsdon was born Feb 27, 1917, at Tulsa, the son of Eugene and Florence (Rush) Logsdon. They and a brother Kenneth, preceded him in death.

He was a 1936 graduate of Catoosa High School and worked for the Santa Fe Trail Bus Company after his graduation.

He joined the Army Medical Corps and was in charge of transportation for Medical Services in Camp Grant, IL, Hot Springs, AR and was stationed in Germany and France. He later worked his way up to become Senior Vice President at Arkansas Valley State Bank and served on the board of directors.

He was a 50-year member of the Bankers Club and a past member of Lions club. Logsdon belonged to the Advanced Studies Sunday School Class at Broken Arrow Assembly where he was a member.
