Hazel Marie Schlegel was born August 28, 1922 in Bristow, Oklahoma the daughter of Walter and Ethel (Whitenack) Bolin. Hazel died Friday, February 19, 2010 at her home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was 87 years of age.
The former Miss Hazel Bolin was a 1940 graduate of Vaughn, Arkansas High School and Draughn School of Business. She began working at Arkansas Valley State Bank in the early 1960's in cashiering and bookkeeping. During World War II she worked at the Air Base in Las Vegas. She lived in Broken Arrow for 50 plus years. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading and shopping. Memorials may be made to Prevention for Blindness, 6120 E. 32nd Pl., Tulsa, OK 74135.
