Nancy Ann Griggs Marple Craig was born to Shelby Smith Griggs and Sarah Jane Rose in Vernon county Missouri. Her first husband was Archibald Marple. Her second husband was Francis Marion Craig.

Their daughter Nellie married William Ballentine.

Charles A. Ballentine was William and Nellie's son.

Mrs. Nancy A. Craig was born in Vernon county, Missouri, February 2,l86l, coming to North Dakota in 1902. Four years and a half ago she was rtieken (sic) with rheumatism which caused her death last Friday. For the last three years she has been helpless, needing the constant care of her family and many friends. She leaves a husband, four sons, one
daughter, nineteen grandchildren, four sisters and two brothers to mourn her death. All through her suffering she was kind and cheerful and enjoyed seeing her many friends. She was 57 years l0 months and 29 days
old at the time of her death.

The funeral of Mrs. Frank Craig was held on Sunday afternoon at l p.m.
Rev. Shaff from williston conducted the funeral services. The remains were laid to rest in the Spring Brook cemetery. The entire community extends sympathy to the bereaved, the husband and children in their
sorrow.
