Obit: Albert T. Thornton died yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at his home in Huntsdale. Funeral services will be conducted at Nashville church tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 by the Rev. H. P. Cheavens. Mr. Thornton was born March 9, 1854, near Wetumpka, Ala. He was brought to Boone county in 1855 by his parents, who located in Cedar township near Ashland. Mr. Thornton spent his entire life in this county. The deceased was married in 1881 to Miss Eliza E. Griggs, who with five sons and two daughters survive him. The children are; W. A. and Allen Thornton of Columbia, Turner S. Thornton of Huntsdale, A. M. Thornton of McBaine and Charles Thornton of Kansas City, and Mrs. John Day and Mrs, Ezra Smith of Columbia. Mr. Thornton is also survived by three brothers, Ike Thornton of Columbia, Charlie Thornton of Poplar Bluff and William Thornton of Huntsdale. Thirty-three grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren also survive him.
