Elizabeth was known to all her friends as "Lily" or "Lil".
She had just turned 18 years old when she died at her home in West Ryde, Australia (a suburb of Sydney).
Lily was an amazingly talented and gifted girl. She was a beautiful person both inside and out.
Her family and friends all described her as having a vivacious and fun loving personality.

Lily was also a champion Irish stepdancer. She had won Ist place at the Australian National Championiships for 5 consecutive years. She was the reigning Under 18 champion of Australia. Lily also competed and won top Irish dancing championship awards in the United States. She had made plans to compete in the 2007 World Irish Dance Competions in Dublin and hoped to dance in the show "Lord of the Dance"
Her family described her as "A brilliant dancer-with the most wonderful feet that ever put on a pair of soft shoes"
Lily had also hoped to follow a career in fashion design.
Lily was the daughter of Anne and Elmer, sister to Jennifer, granddaughter to Mary and the late Patrick. She attended Our Lady of Mercy School in Parramatta, NSW, Australia and the Halloran School of Irish Dance.

Lily took her own life the day before she was to have taken a HSC exam (college entrance like the SAT's) for reasons known only to herself and to God.

A Poem For Lily

If I could have a lifetime wish
A dream that could come true
I'd pray to God with all my heart
For yesterday and you

A thousand words can't bring you back
I know because I've tried
And neither can a million tears
I know because I've cried

You left behind my broken heart
And happy memories too
But I never wanted memories, Lil
I only wanted you**

** I added Lil's name to this poem. the original had no name. It is listed as written "By Anonymous". I'd like to dedicate it to Lil's family and her many friends.

Thank you so much to the wonderful person who sponsored Lily's page (Jrrmr910). You are the best!!!
