Assunta Baliva, 104, of Springfield died Sunday, March 7, 1999, at her residence. She was born March 21, 1894, in Celano, Italy, the daughter of Rafaelle and Antonette Noletti Rosati. She married Domenico Baliva; he preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were four sons, Frank, Ralph, Evaldo and Mario Baliva; and a daughter, Lydia McDonald.

Mrs. Baliva had been a Springfield resident since 1919. She was a homemaker and member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, the Alter and Rosary Society, St. Anthony's Study Club and the Navy Mothers.

Survivors: four daughters, Pia Kuhn, Mrs. Fred (Pearl) Davis, Mrs. Phillip (Concetta) Rath and Mrs. Lucio (Corinda) Polino, all of Springfield; 16 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Concelebrated funeral Mass: St. Aloysius Catholic Church, the Rev. John Titus and the Rev. Donald Meehling officiating. Burial: Calvary Cemetery.

Assunta Baliva, 104, of Springfield died Sunday, March 7, 1999, at her residence. She was born March 21, 1894, in Celano, Italy, the daughter of Rafaelle and Antonette Noletti Rosati.
