Comedian. He was a major star of the vaudeville and burlesque circuit, and had numerous successful shows on Broadway. He also starred in a revival of "Kiss Me Kate" in the early 1950's. As vaudeville started to die out as a popular form of entertainment, he moved to Las Vegas and headlined at many of the top casinos. He is remembered for his hilarious performance in the campy, long-running "Bela Lugosi Review" at the Silver Slipper. He also played the role of the manager of the Riviera Hotel in the original 1960 version of "Ocean's Eleven."
