Maude Winship Morse, 96, formerly of Westbrook died Tuesday at a local nursing home after a long illness. She was born in Falmouth, daughter of Josiah D. and Gertrude Babbidge Winship. (Birth record and early census as Ida Maude Winship)
For 50 years, Mrs. Morse was an insurance agent with the John O. Winship Insurance Agency in Westbrook, retiring in 1972 as a partner.
Her husband, Ernest Morse, died in 1956.
Surviving are a son, Josiah W. Morse, of Westbrook; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at Friday at Chase Funeral Home, 350 Main St., Westbrook. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Westbrook. (7/18/1986)
